Your Impact
The HSE Manager role is based in Amman and reports to the Supply Chain Head. The role is responsible for leading and overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across factory operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and Jordanian regulations, and driving a strong safety culture across the organization.
What You'll Do
• Manage and coordinate the HSE team, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal HSE standards, addressing gaps proactively and maintaining operational readiness.
• Review and validate risk assessments, hazard identifications, and control measures to ensure effectiveness across operations.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor workplace inspections, audits, and HSE compliance checks, ensuring findings are addressed and documented.
• Ensure delivery of HSE training programs and awareness campaigns, tracking participation and effectiveness.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, prepare reports for management, and recommend operational improvements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections and compliance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in HSE practices by identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and supporting operational implementation.
• Manage HSE-related resources and budgets within assigned scope, ensuring optimal use while maintaining compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian HSE regulations and applicable standards, and maintain alignment with regulatory authorities such as Civil Defense, Social Security, and Ministry of Health.
• Take appropriate actions in relation to hazards and work-related issues, and escalate as needed to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
What To Bring
• 6–8 years of experience in HSE, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Proven experience in leading HSE teams and managing safety programs across operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, compliance, and incident investigation.
• Familiarity with Jordanian HSE regulations and experience dealing with regulatory authorities such as Civil Defense, Social Security Corporation (SSC), and Ministry of Health (MoH).
• Professional certifications such as ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 are required.
• NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar certifications are preferred.
• Local certification as Occupational Safety and Health Specialist or Supervisor is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams and external partners.
• Fluency in English is required.
