Your Impact
The HSE Specialist role is based in Amman and reports to the Supply Chain Head. The role is responsible for executing day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities across factory operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and Jordanian regulations, and contributing to a safe and compliant working environment.
What You'll Do
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA) to ensure workplace risks are properly evaluated and controlled.
• Lead investigations for incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across operations.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and internal audits, identify gaps, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and awareness sessions to ensure employees understand safety protocols and responsibilities.
• Monitor environmental practices including waste management, emissions, and workplace conditions to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report HSE data to track performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed HSE practices into daily operations and strengthen safety culture.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring documentation readiness and compliance with local authorities such as Civil Defense, Social Security, and Ministry of Health.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian HSE regulations and applicable standards, including workplace safety and occupational health requirements.
• Take appropriate action on identified hazards and escalate issues when required to ensure timely resolution.
What To Bring
• 2–5 years of experience in HSE or related roles, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (not necessarily engineering).
• Hands-on experience in factory environments and familiarity with shift-based operations (4x4 rotation is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation methodologies.
• Experience working as a safety controller/auditor, enforcing safety procedures and ensuring compliance across operations.
• Familiarity with Jordanian HSE regulations and experience dealing with regulatory authorities such as Civil Defense, Social Security Corporation (SSC), and Ministry of Health (MoH).
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001/14001 are preferred.
• Local certification as Occupational Safety and Health Specialist or Supervisor is a strong advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
