Your Impact

The role is based in Jordan and reports to the Head of Finance Operations and will be responsible for leading and managing the accounting team in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management practices. The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, mentoring team members, and collaborating with other departments to support the company's financial goals.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily activities of the accounting team, ensuring tasks are prioritized and deadlines met.
• Provide ongoing support and development opportunities for team members, conducting regular performance reviews and offering constructive feedback.
• Address and resolve team conflicts and performance issues promptly and effectively.
• Review and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Highlighting and identifying significant variances budget.
• Ensure all accounting practices adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, keeping up to date with any changes.
• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities -Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory management, and other financial processes- to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Prepare and organize all necessary documentation for external audits, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Addressing inquiries and implementing recommendations from audit findings where needed.
• Regularly evaluate accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing financial expertise to inform decision-making.
• Adhere to the quality standards and safety procedures as per the company guidelines and local regulations.
• Take appropriate actions in relation to any hazards and work related issues, and escalate as needed, in order to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the line manager, in order to ensure the fulfillment of organizational objectives.
  

What To Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
  
• 2–3 years of managerial experience, leading large teams; experience managing teams across multiple countries is preferred.
  
• Proven track record of delivering operational excellence and driving continuous process improvements.
  
• Strong familiarity with accounting tools and ERP systems.
  
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards.
• Experience working within manufacturing, medical, or FMCG industries.
